Job Title: Maintenance Manager
- Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Managing the team in maintenance Technicians, Parts and Purchasing
- Assigning, checking, organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work orders to/for Maintenance Employees and ensuring work orders are completed in a timely manner.
- Performance management of the maintenance team using well defined KPIs by constantly reviewing performance and creating performance management pans to bridge the gap.
- Preparing/ drafting daily maintenance report, and submitting reports to management
- Creating/ scheduling weekly and monthly preventative maintenance plans
- Maintaining/ updating standard and preventative maintenance work orders on Midnight Commander Software
- Coordinating/ supervising contractor’s projects within the plant.
- Responsible for maintaining parts room inventory, full purchase cycle of parts, equipment and asset tagging via software.
- Responsible for proposing and implementing budgetary controls by analysing downtime, work-flow, overtime costs, preventative maintenance and various additional aspects involved to optimally use resources.

- Actively engage as a member of the Health and Safety committee to improve safety in the workplace.
- Performs the job in a safe and professional manner
- Performs a safety check on the workstation/workplace before conducting work
- Maintains/ensures a clean, safe, and well-organized working environment
- Adheres to company policies, regulations, and rules
- Adheres to Food Health and Safety Regulations and Employee Health and Safety Regulations
- Adhere to legal responsibilities of the: Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and Workers Compensation Act
- Additional Duties as assigned/ required that are relevant to the “Essential Functions and Responsibilities” of the job
- Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Red Seal Millwright / Electrician with 5 years of proven leadership experience in maintenance supervisor or manager role preferably in consumer goods manufacturing. High speed packaging or food processing experience would be an asset.
- Ability to be on a call basis as required for off shifts and weekends
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with ability to work in team environment maintaining positive attitude
- Hands on troubleshooting experience in mechanical, boiler, pneumatic and electrical systems (HMI, PLC, VFD, motors, cylinders, etc.)
- Detailed problem-solving approach that comes with solution in a timely manner
- Proficiency in MS Office, CMMC maintenance programs. Working knowledge of “Maintenance Coordinator” software would be an asset
- Ability to effectively work with vendors, OEMs and third-party suppliers;
- Experience in WCM, Lean, 6Sigma would be an asset
