Matar Paneer Tikki

Patties made from matar paneer (cottage cheese and green peas in a tomato based gravy)


Ingredients
  • Paneer (cottage cheese), grated- 200 grams
  • Green peas- 100 grams
  • 2 Medium sized boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 1 Small, chopped onion
  • Coriander powder- 1 tsp
  • Ginger-garlic paste- 1 1/2 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder- 2 tsp
  • Cumin powder- 1 tsp
  • Turmeric- 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Garam masala- 1 tsp
  • Amchur powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Cornflour- 3 tsp
  • Chopped coriander leaves- 2 tbsp
  • Semolina- 1/2 Cup
  • Oil for frying

Method to Prepare

Add the paneer, green peas, potatoes, onions, coriander powder, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, cumin powder, turmeric, garam masala, amchur powder, corn flour and coriander in a bowl and mix well. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into tikkis. Heat oil in a non-stick pan and fry the tikkis till they are golden brown in colour. Serve hot.
