Paneer Matar Roomali Rotis

Roomali Rotis stuffed with Matar Paneer


Ingredients
  • Paneer (cottage cheese)- 200 grams
  • 4 Roomali rotis cut into rectangles
  • Boiled green peas- 2 tbsp
  • Cornflour/corn starch- 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Refined flour (maida)- 2 tbsp
  • 1 Finely chopped onion
  • Processed cheese, grated- 200 grams
  • Coriander powder- 1 tsp
  • Chaat masala- 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
  • Chopped, fresh coriander leaves- 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to deep fry

Method to Prepare

Heat a sufficient amount of oil in a kadai. Combine cornflour, refined flour and water in a bowl to make a thick paste. Mix paneer, green peas, onion, processed cheese, coriander powder, chaat masala, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander leaves and salt in a bowl. Add the flour paste on each roomali roti, put a portion of paneer stuffing on one side and roll the romali roti. Fry the rolls in hot oil till they become golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot.
