GHEE POHA

- Serves:4 people
Ingredients
1 onion finely chopped
1-2 green chillies, halved
2 cups poha (you could use red rice poha)
1/2 a pomegranate seeded
2 tbsp ghee
1/4 cup peanuts
1 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp salt to taste
Pinch of hing
1 tsp sugar to taste
METHOD TO PREPARE
Wash and drain the poha
Heat the ghee in a pan, add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and hing, and stir
Add in the peanuts and lightly toast them.
Add the onion and sauté till it is translucent.
Add the green chilli, curry leaves, turmeric, salt, and sugar.
Add in the poha and stir till well combined.
Add a few drops of water, cover, and steam the poha for 1-2 minutes.
Open, add lime juice, and garnish with cilantro and pomegranate seeds.
