ROSE STRAWBERRY LASSI

Ingredients
2 cups Nanak Dahi
1 cup ice
6 - 8 strawberries, washed and roughly chopped
3 - 4 tablespoons rose syrup (plus more for garnish)
4 - 6 tablespoons sabja (basil) seeds, soaked in water for 15 minutes (chia seeds don’t give the same texture)
¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
For garnish
Dried rose petals
Slivered pistachios
METHOD TO PREPARE
Add everything except the soaked basil seeds to a high-speed blender. Blend until smooth and pink.
To serve, spoon the soaked basil seeds into the bottom of each glass. If you like, drizzle a little rose syrup along the sides of the glass for a decorative touch.
Pour in the lassi, then garnish with pistachios and rose petals.
Notes
Blending with ice instead of water keeps the lassi cold and ready to serve right away.
